Ten years ago, amidst the release of the iPhone 6, the viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and the enchanting (ahem!) tunes of "Let It Go" from Disney's "Frozen," Millrose Telecom Ltd (as Millrose was called back then) was born!
We've gone from telephones to datacoms
Over the years, we've witnessed significant shifts in the telecoms landscape, and data cabling emerging as a key focus area for our business. As demand for copper and fibre services grew, we adapted our offerings and expanded into new service areas such as terminate and test, wifi surveys and solutions, and comms room services. This evolution has been essential in meeting the evolving needs of our clients and staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing industry.
(Not forgetting our telephone engineer routes, we still help out within the local community to help with landline issues, particulary with elderly and vulnerable residents for whom their landline is their lifeline and we respond quickly to problems).
A roller coaster of a decade
Of course, the pandemic certainly presented its share of challenges, impacting projects and operations across the industry. However, we remained resilient, investing in our business and brand and expanding our service offerings to meet the changing needs of our clients.
We introduced new services, invested in training and cutting-edge equipment & tools, enhanced our digital capabilities, and focused on delivering exceptional customer service amidst the uncertainty.
And it’s worked well!
We’ve cultivated a diverse client base across East Anglia, serving sectors ranging from the MOD to educational institutions and commercial enterprises. We’ve worked on contracts with Premier League Football clubs, outdoor festivals, factories, commercial new builds, schools, and warehousing - to name but a few. Collaborations with IT support companies, security firms, and M&E contractors have further strengthened Millrose’s foothold in the region, enabling local and responsive support.
Community Engagement and Giving Back
Beyond business success, Millrose is deeply committed to giving back to the community. Through various initiatives such as supporting food banks, sponsoring local events, and volunteering with schools and colleges, Millrose strives to make a positive impact beyond its operations.
We asked our Managing Director, Keith Evans, for his thoughts on what the future holds for Millrose and the milestone birthday:
“It’s been a fantastic journey so far! Our focus moving forward is all about innovation, growth, and, most importantly, keeping our clients smiling. We want to push the boundaries, embracing and investing in new tech, whilst also continuing making a real difference in our community.
To all our amazing clients, partners, and team members and subcontractors: I can't thank you enough for your support, your trust, and your hard work. Here's to another decade of success and growth at Millrose.”
Cheers to us!
