At Millrose, we believe that every event deserves to shine, and the recent Ely Hero Awards was no exception. Held on Friday, September 13th, this year’s event marked the seventh annual celebration of local heroes—a night full of glitz, inspiration, and community spirit.
As proud sponsors of the audio/visual production we were honoured to play a key role in making the evening truly spectacular. The stunning setting of The Maltings, Ely was transformed into a breathtaking space, with carefully designed lighting and flawless sound that captivated the 160 guests in attendance. From the heartwarming acceptance speeches to the dramatic unveiling of each award, the technical precision of the evening from those wizards at BlueShed enhanced the magic and ensured every moment was unforgettable.
This year’s Ely Hero Awards introduced new features, including a Masquerade Ball and an exciting charity auction that raised nearly £900 for the Highfield School PTA. But the true stars of the night were the award winners, especially Angels Arribas, who received the overall Ely Hero 2024 Award for her outstanding contributions to the local community through the Oasis Cancer Hub.
